\"\"In December 2018, 54 chickens from a Breeding Coop,\u00a0arrived to the farm in the middle of the night.
\nThe chickens remained in the Industrial chicken coop to die slowly, without water, food or proper sanitation.<\/p>\n

The chickens stayed in the chicken coop in a\u00a0 very difficult conditions: they arrived filled with feces, around the soles of their feet and delicate fingers accumulated feces that hardened and held their delicate and small body like a weight. This condition kept them from walking and in some cases also to get to their food and water containers. Sometimes the fingers degenerate or break.<\/p>\n

According to animal rights activists, most of the free-range eggs arrives from places where the chickens are kept under similar conditions.<\/p>\n

\"\"Patiently, along 3 days with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers, each hen underwent an hour long treatment in which we removed the lumps of feces that had been wrapped around their legs for two whole years.<\/p>\n

We patiently soften and broke them, cut the feathers that formed into a hard lump of feces and dirt and each of them had a warm bath to wash away the dirt and the strong smell they had come with.<\/p>\n
